Terracotta of a satyr

Terracotta of a satyr
Upper part of a terracotta statuette, made by mold, of which only the head -without hair- and shoulders, are preserved, the one on the left with a lion’s skin.
This terracotta sculpture was found in the Decumanus area of Baetulo. Possibly it would decorate one of the rooms of the tabernae or shops that opened on both sides of the street. The fact that he wears a lion skin on his shoulder makes us think that he could be a character related to Heracles or maybe a satyr.
