The hidden city. Last news of urban archeology in Badalona

Tuesday November 25th, 7 pm

25 November 2025 - 19:00 a 20:30

Free entry until the capacity is completed

Soon it will be 100 years since the first excavation in Badalona motivated by the discovery of a Roman house during some works on Lladó Street. Since then, archeology and urban planning in the city have changed a lot, however, the desire for knowledge and protection of the Badalonian heritage have been maintained and for more than half a century from the Museum of Badalona.

In recent years, more than 20 archeological interventions have been made annually, some of us have exposed the results obtained in cycles or exhibitions, but urban archeology has given us much more information. From the Museum we keep track of all of them and the continuous task of collecting information and putting it in context to expand not only the archeological collection of the museum but also of the knowledge we have of the city in the different historical periods.

To end this fifth edition of the cycle of archeological novelties we will answer the questions where we have excavated, what we have discovered and what we can explain again about the archeological remains that are hidden under our feet.
