Les cinq ann\u00e9es de d\u00e9portation des r\u00e9publicains espagnols<\/em>, written by Josep Borr\u00e0s from Badalona, in which he recounts his experiences in the Mauthausen concentration camp, where 1,094 catalans lost their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Josep Borr\u00e0s (1917-1997) went into exile in France after the Civil War and at the beginning of World War II he was deported to the Mauthausen camp. His father, Pere Borr\u00e0s Mil\u00e0, was a well-known construction contractor.
