Reenactment

Reenactment

The festival gives a special role to the historical reenactment, especially linked to the everyday life and traditional crafts.

We’ll see exhibitions of a wide range of artisan trades, all around the Museum, and discover, for example, how iron was worked, how the ropes, mosaics or amphoras were made, how metal was melted, how were the clothes dyed, how did the romans write, or even what magic and what spells used the Romans to scare off evil auguries and attract good luck.

These demonstrations add to the military world recreations that explain how the soldiers’ clothing was, what weapons they had and the techniques they were preparing for combat.
