Bones: A Journey into the Medieval Age by Physical Anthropology

POSTPONED EXHIBITION

2 April 2020 - 19:00 a 14 June 2020 - 14:00

Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm from 5 to 8 pm; Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

This exhibition brings us closer to the living conditions of the medieval period through the study of the remains of skeletons located in archeological sites from the 8th to the 15th centuries, located mainly in Central Catalonia.

The exposed pieces explain how our ancestors lived and died in the Middle Ages, and delve into different aspects of their lives through the use of physical anthropology techniques – the science that studies the bone remains – and paleopathology – the science that studies the diseases that people or animals suffered in the past.

The exhibition is a co-production of the MAC, through Arqueoxarxa, and the Diputació de Barcelona.
