Introducing the Virtual Museum of Fashion
On Thursday, December 13th, at 7 pm, the Museum will host the presentation of the Virtual Fashion Museum of Catalonia, an initiative promoted by the Walden Association that was awarded in 2017 with the Lluís Carulla prize for cultural entrepreneurship.
This online Museum includes 642 pieces of clothing from 38 different Catalan institutions, pieces that have been documented, researched and photographed to illustrate the evolution of more than 500 years of history of Catalan fashion and clothing, from the fifteenth century to the present. The Badalona Museum has contributed to this elaborated virtual catalog with 39 pieces of its collections, many of which have been donated by citizens in order to guarantee their preservation and their study.
The presentation will be on charge of Laura Casal-Valls, Doctor in Art History and one of the promoters of the project.
Admission is free. Capacity limited.
