House of the Dolphins
This is a Domus or wealthy Roman villa dating from the late 1st century AD and located in the upper part of the old town of Baetulo. It features several rooms surrounding the atrium, other rooms around the peristyle or garden and a work area involved in wine production.
There are mosaics of outstanding quality as well as remnants of the original wall paintings. Two audiovisual projection displays, light and sound effects, and an accurate reconstruction with objects and furniture offer a unique insight into Roman life. Tactile displays for visitors with visual impairments are also available.
The visits are aimed at pre-school, primary school, compulsory and post compulsory secondary school groups, and the general public.
Second sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
