The Museum holds and administers a number of important archives which include the Historical Archive of the Town of Badalona, the Visual Archives, with more than a million photographs, and the Josep Maria Cuyàs i Tolosa Archive, a collection gathered by the man after whom the archive was given its name, a local historian and first administrator of the museum.
This documental heritage, produced in Badalona, includes a wide range of materials in terms of sources, chronology and formats. The Museum Archives can be accessed and are available to researchers and the general public.

Norms of access
There is free access for visitors over 18 and for secondary school students doing their research projects. A visitor log should be filled in with relevant personal data and topic of research.

Information and research help on relevant material and consultation process is offered to researchers by our team of curatorial experts
Basic search enquiries can be made by phone, mail and fax or email when no documental research is required
Archive records and catalogues may be consulted for research and record tracking purposes at the reading rooms
Reproduction of material is allowed although subject to certain restrictions such as preservation, to avoid damage or deterioration, copyright legislation, intellectual property laws and others
